Hard question. But not in my world when the car is modded and not a hot color compared to the blue, green and yellows but opinions are like belly buttons - everyone has one.

I don't think garnet red is a plus. Not a negative - but people are not going to pay extra for it.

The decal and ducktail are going to be of selective appeal.

Garnet with burgundy are both good colors, but paired may be too much for many buyers, who would prefer a contrasting interior color such as beige our black.

I'd appreciate opinions on this color interior in a silver car. Too much of a red explosion? Would you vote plus or minus on desirability/value? Thanks!

I think the bright red interior on a silver car is an awesome combo.

Color preferences change with the times. In 'austere' times, people prefer austere colors.

In the 80s and most of the 90s, owners painted their Conda/Viper/Tangerine/yellow 911s black or white. Even red.

Porsche made a conscious effort to bring back interesting colors with the 993 introduction.

Now, look at the new GT3RS press car - it's purple!

"Citrus colors" bring a 20% premium on early 911s now. Rare or paint to sample, maybe up to 40%.

Interiors are a bit less consistent, but red interior with black or silver paint is going to be huge for a subset of buyers.

The Garnet car appears to have a matching Garnet interior. I'd say that's probably extremely attractive in person, and I'd call it at +10% to average market value.

BTW, according to our show, Audi is offering some recycled Porsche colors on the S3 - for only +$18K(!) for the whole package.

Speaking of unusual color combos and value, this one was just re-listed. It was on eBay all last week with a starting bid of $55K and no bids. Guess they're trying the BIN method. Another car that might be "gotta have" for a small segment of the market. But quite the opposite of outlandish. My wife called it the "Cadillac Porsche"

Sounds like euro color combos happening in the 80s.
Heard of a guy buying new Corvettes in these contrasting colors to ship overseas. Was told the factory required payment to actually build the car.
I have two 73.5 cars which were black and tan interior when new but both were changed to black probably in the 80s. I did a few myself. Wish they were both the original colors now.

I have had people hunt me down after I parked to offer to buy my Garnet Red 930. This color is unique in person - sometimes reddish, sometimes brownish, sometimes purple-ish. I doubt that would happen if it were Guards, Black or White. Who knows what the premium would be, but I think it would certainly sell fast.
