Value of '70 911T targa?
I see many early 911's with asking prices into the $90K range. Does anyone know if these cars are really selling for those prices? What might the value of a 2-owner '70 911t targa SoCal car with no rust complete bare metal restoration with paint in tangerine by Freddie Hernandez (color change from signal orange), rebuilt original engine to E-spec by Tom Amon at MobileWorks West with weber carbs, and SSIs,, 5-speed trans with all new clutch assembly, all new rubber, trim throughout int and exterior, flat 15" Fuchs refinished by al reed, and new interior by tony at Autobahn interiors with original owners manuall, sales receipt, and maintenance records plus receipts for all of the above work and approx 3000 miles since complete restoration be worth realistically?

is the engine original to the car and rebuilt to an E-spec, or a different engine?
The recolor is an odd choice, as the two are so similar and both desirable. At least it isn't red. Ts seem to be trading between $40-90k depending on condition, year, and color. Top money is going to straight stock, all original survivors, followed by top condition restorations. Yours is neither of these, being half-way between a restoration and a resto-mod. I would guess yours would be toward the mid-high end ($65-80k) if the engine is original. toward the middle if a re-engine. ($55-70k) That is a pure swag. Someone with lots of experience with early cars may help you narrow it down. Pictures are helpful.

Freddie,
I guess the wording I had was interpreted that you did the whole restoration, and that was not my intent, so I updated the wording. You did all the painting and associated minor bodywork back in 2011 when your shop was in Martinez, and then you reassembled all the body parts and glass back on the car finishing the job on Oct 21, 2011 based on the date of my receipt from you. Hope your new shop in Oregon is going well. Jeff Streeter |

I stand corrected by Jeff. I need to dig deeper into my archive of cars completed. The car simply looks so different in the pictures. It was just the tub I restored. I never saw the completed car. Best wishes on the sale Jeff.

Freddie,
Thanks for responding. It seems you also posted a separate thread relative to my car for sale ad indicating you did not do the work there either. Please delete that thread if you would please and let me know when you have done so. There is some sort of privilege on that thread so I cannot even respond to it to correct you. I wish you would have contacted me before posting that sort of statement on this forum - it really questions the integrity of my ad and I do not appreciate that. Jeff |

Jeff, I edited that wording to say that I did the body/paint work on the car and if any interested parties should have any questions, please contact me for my recommendation on work. Hope that now I can help you with the sale.
