Yes Westy, you should re-evaluate what you have.
When I think what I could get for mine in the NY Metro area, not to mention on the world stage, it approaches last years 930 prices. I'm not selling.

I was toying with the idea of selling mine. Needs headstuds fixed.
Am I priced right or under priced? 1981 Porsche 911 SC I've had a ton of interest, but mostly flippers/dealers throwing me offers without seeing it. May just keep it.

It looks to be fairly priced to me. It appears to have a good body/paint with a decent interior.
A top end at 200k miles is somewhat normal. It would bring more money if it was repaired, but I doubt that you would get back your full $4k repair cost since it has high miles. The 915 might need a bit of work as well (?). This looks to be a good buy for a DIY guy who could do some of the work himself and just wants an old air cooled 911 to drive and enjoy - and doesn't expect to make a bunch of money with it on a flip... |
