Looking to trade my Pagoda for a 993
I am new to this forum and not sure if this is the proper place to post my message.
I am looking to jump ship. I want to trade my 1968 Mercedes 280SL for a nice 993 convertible with stick shift. If anyone is intersected please advise. Thank you. FAN_993

A Pagoda is worth between a low of $35k to over $150k; stick worth more than auto, 5sp stick very rare, two tops worth more than soft only and Calif (car with hardtop only) worth the least. Rust is a big hurt and original front fender welds helps. Orig front "creases" near headlight a big plus. 993 converts are great; 1995 obviates headaches associated with OBDII found on 96-98 cars. Look for disconnected CEL (check engine light) on 96-98; always get a PPI. These cars are worth $35 to $60k or more, for a rare, early 1998.

There is a WTB forum. That would be more appropriate for your quest.

It is white with automatic transmission. Not a show car but drives great. During my 13 year ownership I have driven it approximately 5,000 miles. Work I have done to it includes complete engine and transmission rebuilt, front suspension rebuilt, fuel injection pump rebuilt, fuel system rebuilt, including gas tank, radiator recored, air conditioning redone with original console. Also, rechromed all bumpers and front grill. The interior was refurbished by the previous owner (18 hrs ago) but does not look bad. The car was repainted by the previous owner but not to show conditions. The car has some bondo at the usual fender spots.I will post photos later.
