The $70k Carrera - What Bubble?

This is more amazing than the $40k SC. All the power to him, I hope he gets every penny he is asking. Nice car but WOW!, this market has gone crazy!

So here we go with the 'what a beautiful car', and 'nice car' responses, coming right up.

Crack head price. Should have a major adjustment to asking in about a week when no one PM's.

That does look like a lovely car but I think the miles are far too high (45K+) to qualify this as a collector/time capsule type car that would support at $70K price.

Just my $0.02 of course.

Cheers

d.

I think he's charging an extra $10k for every extra inch of ride height in the rear

Seller is definitely smoking something. Think the number is $45k - $50k max if everything checks out perfectly.

Well he is saying 70k or best offer, so if the best offer is 45k...

Nice car if you like black. I don't particularly but wasn't there one member here who looked for the perfect triple black car for years? Maybe he would pay $70k if it's the right combo for him. I don't know that there are many buyers at that price.

I like the title where it says 44,534 miles 10/31/2014 ACTUAL. What else is it gonna say, FAKE? lol

NYNick - It could just sit and sit and sit without a price adjustment like some other sellers here.

I have a thing for black on black. But someone can buy mine for 70k.... no problem.

This time next year you'll be kicking yourselves for not paying $70k! They don't make 'em anymore and they're only gonna go up up up. The market's hot, boys!

Gosh, a little more and you could buy a Cayman GT4. One of the best sportscars in the world.

Rationality and intrinsic value left the barn a while ago. You could get brand new 991TTSes, Ferraris, and more for what some air-cooleds are going for.

This is the rationale I use when looking at these listings. A prospective buyer's options are wide open at that price range. You have got to REALLY want that specific car with all of the other alternatives on the market for $70k. You could buy nice Cayman and 3.2 911 pair of cars for that money......

You guys do realize that many new buyers of air cooled Porsches don't really need to decide between new vs old right?
