personally, i would not "invest" in a repainted car.
You also mean one that is "restored"? Seems many of the sought after cars are restored. That means repainted, among other things. I like / have them both ways. Someday I might decide which way I like best.

Porsches are exceptional machines, meant for fast driving. Driving means mechanical maintenance, as well as taking care of stone chips and other bodywork.

These days almost every Porsche from 60s and 70s have had extensive body repairs.

I would not see a repaint as an issue. Everything can be put right with correct methods and tools

I agree with this. It's the CARFAX that kills value however, when it shows an accident. There's no way of telling if it was a nasty accident, or a scrape.
Nothing beats a quality PPI, especially with the knowledge of a bad carfax. Even so, a sharp pair of eyes and a flashlight can work wonders.

I didn't see the for sale post but I wouldn't price it too low.

The lowest priced turbo 3.6 I have heard of selling in the past year was a 150k mile no engine work with salvage title and it sold for $110k. A tub in perfect condition without any drive train sold last year for nearly $50k.

You car has its limitations due to mileage and repaint. If it wasn't a color change and was a properly done windows out respray not due to an accident it isn't as bad as you would think.

I would shoot for $175k +/- based on condition and see what comes of it.

here is the link.
no color change,
all vin tags present, all number matching, so nothing major, just cosmetic.
thanks for advice, I priced it at 168k.
really looking to get close to it.

Your ad (and pics) reads like a business liquidating its inventory.

Simple question... are you a car dealer ?

Followup question.. do you offer financing for the turbo ?

yes, I sell cars for living, but also collecting cars myself, I don't mix them together(most of cars I collect I have them over 10 years, e30 m3, 190 2.3-16, nsx, corolla gts ae86s.... and they are never up for sale during these time. and I am in mid 30s so it's hard for me to have cars longer than 10 or more years.), it's up to you to believe or not. but if you are in San Diego area, I am welcome you to come see my cars.

no financing on my turbo, it my personal sale.

any more questions?

Looks like a nice car I don't see why you shouldn't get your asking price. GLWS
