Are we actually to the point where this car is a bargain?

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-cars-sale/886407-fs-1988-turbo-930-w-46-138-miles.html

OK, red over tan, sure. But those miles and these cars going all crazy over the last six months - is $120k for a car of this mileage now a reasonable deal? Or bubble pricing?

You'll know if it's a bargain by how long it sits there.

(I love on the Rennlist classifieds when the bubble cheerleaders post "Whew, this'll go quick in this market!!" and then it gets bumped for months on end with no sale.)

Yeah, I hear you. I wasn't thinking so much as a bargain, but fairly priced on the lower end. So, let's imagine that someone could get it for $110k. Bargain then, or not?

$110k would be market value, under $100k would be a bargain. I wouldn't sell my 88 for under a $100k and is has 14k more miles.

I've been watching the 930 market very closely and prices are softening up. There is suddenly too many of them (same with the 993 Turbos) Even the early '76 & '77 930 models are suddenly all over, especially at the high class auctions. The only 930 cars that seem still quite rare to see for sale are the Targas and the '89 coupes (I guess the 5-speed makes a big difference) Other than that, you'll pretty much find 930s all over. So $120 for an '88 with 44k mileage is a bit too much. Unless, it's 100% stock, in concourse shape, fully documented and no drama. But that's just one man's opinion.. I only do this for living Lol .. Great wk'end everyone

Sweet color! If it's 100% original/documented/maintained it's priced to sell in this market. Any stories, ton of owners, unoriginal parts, paint will take the price down quickly.

Nice looking car. I always laugh when the ad says it's a Ca. car but it's for sale in VT
