Wow. This one makes me want to open my wallet.

But it seems underpriced to me. A '72, which has a sort of cult-like following, in really good shape (I assume, from the ad copy), in an interesting color, with some nice period-correct upgrades? Why isn't this car offered at a higher price? |

Our old car we had for sale.. I know the original engine block came with the car so I guess it's in the car right now. I wonder what happened to the 2.7L engine? Regardless, nice car.

Car has been passed all around it seems which is unfortunate as i like it too. Was at this dealer before it went to mulsanne79 along with a few other cars i think.

'72 t...
That's strong money for a non MFI equipped "T," but it sure looks nice.
From what I've read about them and seen in period road tests, the '72-'73 T's received favorable reviews at the time, and they were not much slower than E's or even the vaunted S. If I recall correctly, they finally ditched the carbs, added MFI and a balanced CW crank (also a 200cc displacement bump, etc.). Man, to have a time machine and go back 10 years when these were $15 to $20k cars!! |

Just what I was thinking. Here's my old 68, which I believe was aubergine.

With regard to the lack of sale on this '72T though, I have to say that boring out the original case was a bad idea. Definitely a hit on value there.

This color is royal purple 341 or in german (flieder). A very rare and cool period and correct color...

It remains original unrestored since then except the hood and rear deck paint repair due to when I got it it had the turbo Carrera script and the Porsche badge removed. Since the Andial Brand is now owned by Porsche I thought it appropriate to put the original badging back on. The two different restoration shops both had fits getting the color to be good as I demanded a panel paint and not to blend into the adjoining panels to keep the paint original as possible to the rest of the car. Too much to list but some that come to mind are titanium BBS 8" front & 10"rears and is fully modified underneath with weltmeister adjustable suspension, 2 additional oil coolers, vented 935 style brakes, early short bellhousing RUF 5spd and full race internals done by the Andial people and some aluminum body panels when builders still built street modded cars for clients that wanted their 930s to be, drive and stop way faster than the regular ones. Andial rebuilt the motor again about 10K miles ago, shortly before I bought it, so it still preforms like when it was built decades ago. I'll most likely never get a street 934 so this is it for me, the next best thing, a extensively vintage modded 1977 930, but built over here.

Forgot the front view and in a different lighting also before I had the Porsche badge reinstalled.
Some even call it the Muscle car color "Plum crazy". ![]()
