Thinking about selling my 911sc.

Thinking about selling my 82 911SC. Thinking I'll hold off till after winter. I currently have a whale tail installed and a few other minor parts. Would you sell the car as is or try to make the car as stock as possible. Current changes are a cat delete, rear and front spoilers, steering wheel, and radio. Car is low miles. Under 90k. Chiffon white coupe with what I think is full black leather. I was thinking about selling with all my spare parts at one cost or pick your parts at a lower price. Still not 100% sure if I'll list it. Don't need to sell it, but haven't been using it.

Do you still have the stock parts?
Also where in CT are you?

Thinking about selling my 911sc.

I have most of them. I have two sets of Fuchs. One fake euro m set and one real set. I have two deck lids. Original has small ding on an edge. Easy fix. Currently has oem whailtail. Have the original sc steering wheel. I installed a prototipo. I also installed a fabspeed premuffler. Have the cat still. I do not have the original radio. I'm on the shoreline. Milford area.

Return to stock to sell and sell the part separate in the classifieds as you pull them off. You'll miss her in the spring

Have alot of PMs. Not sure if selling. If I do it wouldn't be until spring or summer. If anything changes I'll PM people back in order. Thanks.

Since you don't need to sell the car, I would sell it with the good stuff installed. If you are patient, a non-"stock only weenie" will come along that is glad that the car has been changed for the better and be happy to pay for it.

Feeling the same way

I feel you on the I'm not using it thing. Mine sits in the garage and I just don't have the same uumph with it I used to. I keep it up, clean and running. I think of all the time I spent putting all the fun parts on her. The SSI exhaust, H1 headlights, tinkering with the Fuel injection.... I don't know, it's like Days gone by for some reason. I may just pull the trigger and sell mine as well. Such a tough call, not many nicer cars out there anymore if I had to replace it.

So long story short, I fully understand your pain.

Thanks. I used to love driving. 10 years being an appraiser. I average 50k miles a year just for work in a boring car. I have to move two cars just to get the 911 out. So often don't bother. I know first world problems. Lol

I remember you just got the car in 2014. Why selling so soon?

Joey, I think a good remedy to a car that has become a captive trophy stuck behind your treadmill that is a clothes hanger is to simply drive the damn thing to work 5 days in a row. Sort of like a reboot. I think sometimes we need to be reminded that it is a car, not a sculpture.

I wish I could take it to work, but I work on the road in a company car. I have a home office and work from a company owned car. No commute for me. I have a full moblie office. Only drive my personal cars on the weekends.

Not sure if selling it yet. Thinking about a more practical weekend car. Something my wife would go away in without worrying. Something I could park outside a few days without worrying. I may just get another weekend car for long trips. Looking at older S2000s. They are cheap and may be a good alternative to selling the 911.
