Interesting. I don't know the 993 market at all, but wasn't that car quite cheap at $50k? Surprised that a dealer wouldn't ask more.

Nice car/color and the original seller left money on the table for sure.

Something doesn't add up. Mohr usually asks a ton for their cars. Would be a rookie move to leave money on the table.

Not super familiar with Mohr but I would guess it probably needed a top-end or some $5k plus repair to command top $$$.

Mohr may ask a lot but Intersport's pricing borders on delusional. When I was 993 shopping, I called them about a vehicle they had in their inventory. It was priced at least $10k over market so I broached the topic of negotiation. Their sales manager called me to say he had his 'finger on the pulse of the 993 market' and he had no intention of moving on it with chuckleheads like me (I can't remember his exact words on the slam but they weren't kind. I sat back and watched the car sit for 10 months as he lowered the price every month until the ask was what I'd offered. Highly recommended dealer...

I have my finger on the pulse of these a$$clowns and I have no intention of letting them ruin our hobby. The circus has no end in sight. I'm gonna market a Porsche unicycle for these wannabe dealers who have no dignity.

Mohr tried to sell it on eBay last month for $46.5K and it was taken down quickly and shown as NLA. That would give enough time for it to be shipped to VA - so it still being listed on Mohr's site yesterday is likely due to not updating the site.

Porsche 911 2dr Coupe CA | eBay

They had a nice looking Averturine Green 993 for sale in early December for $53K ask - also "under market" assuming it needed no serious work. Maybe they needed to get more aggressive to raise cash?

Glass half-full view: I suspect there was an issue with either or both of the cars mentioned and Mohr decided to offload rather than invest more.

Glass half-empty view: Mohr thinks 993's have gone beyond 'fair market' and decided to liquidate everything remotely marginal in condition in favor of only top-market examples to reduce their exposure to the 993 platform.

This is what I'm thinking happened.

Also, I don't think Mohr has a full service shop and is really a dealer.

Intersport is a full service facility that can do anything. They are a customer of mine and build some very very expensive no expense spared racecars. They may have looked at the "issues" and decided that they could fix them for less than the difference of what Mohr wanted and what they believe they can get once repaired to a very high standard.

I don't necessarily think that they are. I think they are more like "dealer transfers" in the new car market. We obviously don't have all the facts and likely never will. Mohr might have gotten something they wanted out of Intersport's inventory as part of the transaction.

as matt stated, intesport has some fancy race cars and a few of my watercooled friends use them to build and support track efforts.

mohr is local to me. i have visited them a few times. some times they have really nice cans some times they have ok cars. hit and miss. they aren't the cheapest but certainly not expensive compared to sloan, isringhausen, european collectibles, rpm, road scholar.
