914-6 Price difference running or not
I have a near perfect 914-6 number matching that has been in storage for approx 5 years- it turns freely and pefect compression- carbs need rebuilding and i have no spark- I am not a mechanic- I am thinking of putting on ebay- what would be differnce in price? i have talked to a couple mechanics in my area but they all are making it into a project to get it running- plus they can not guarantee it will stay inside- last time i sent a simialr porsche it was there for 2 months so what price difference on running or not?

Thousands of dollars maybe even ten of them. A non running car is a huge question mark. And you discount it for the unknown part of it.

Spend the money and get it running. It will surely get you more money. I'm assuming it had no major issues when it was put away.

Many people wont even consider a non running car, it also makes it a lot more expensive to transport any distance. As said it could be $5 - $10K

I know this is another thread, but hey.
Search for getting a 911 back on the road in the technical section and do all of that. And get it running this weekend. |

Yes- distributor is marelli- it is 100% original drivetrain w/orig weber carbs- i had gas tank cleaned and back in car, oil tank cleaned, new fuel pump installed, and new starter- mechanic started playing w/distributor trying to fingd issue w/ no spark- so not sure if he put it back in correctly- i would love for you to work on it

I must have missed the OP's location. How do you know you're an hour away from him and his car?
