You (the buyer) should be good as long as the title is valid. I have bought a couple of 911s frpm flippers - I asked them to have the title in their name though.
There is some export paperwork in the US as well. Better check with some of the americanos. The EU buyer should do his homework himself and not put it on you. p.s. Hope the widow got a fair price! Last edited by christiandk; 02-23-2016 at 03:40 AM.. |

You have a title in his name, and a bill of sale from her? Will you be able to title car in your country with that paperwork?
She should have put title in her name as part of settling estate, would be easy for her here. Sure he didn't leave the car to his girlfriend or kids? ![]() |

A Title should get the job done, contact CFR Rinkens and they will be able to walk you through the process. Good company and easy to work with. Just sold a car to Europe with a notarized bill of sale and my registration. In CT there are no Titles for vehicles over 20 years old.

I won't ship vehicles anymore. I will help them ship it though.
Shipping it yourself can bring up a question as to wether the sale was made in that oner country and you as an importer may have tax returns to file. Instead, I'll do my part to provide the buyer with the pieces of info that they need so that they can fill in their import paperwork, and then help their shipper load it up, but I won't hire the shipper for the above reason. If they are the importer, your job is easy If they hire the shipping company there is a consistent paper trail of the sale being made in your country and you don't have to get involved with their government. If they require a broker, then you don't have to hire one. If you are an out of country buyer of a U.S. vehicle, be aware that you will need a US broker, and the vehicle and title will have to remain at the US border or port for a period of time while they ensure that it is not stolen. You will need to hire two parties: 1) a broker 2) a shipping company I'll Pm a contact for you
