1978 DP Motorsport 911SC with full Turbo running gear
Need help trying to value my 1978 Porsche and input would be appreciated:
Chassis: 1978 911SC Vin 91182022XX very straight tub no rust at all. Body: Full DP Motorsport fiberglass widebody kit with very nice silver paint job. This is the full DP kit which includes extended length front glass very similar to the 935 DP Kremer racers of the era. Windshield is brand new in box from DP Germany. Interior: Custom red leather throughout with matching Recaro race buckets. Suspension:Full turbo suspension front and rear. Turbo trailing arms, Turbo torsion tube installed, Coilover conversion front and rear. Brakes: Full Porsche Turbo finned calipers front and rear, very impressive brake setup. Engine: Porsche Turbo, 930/63 CIS intercooled engine, 930/34 Transmission. Wheels: BBS e50 magnesium wheels, 15x9 front, 15x13 rears. One rear wheel is missing. Overall: I purchased this car as-is unfinished, I recently decided to spend a few days on the car so I drained and changed oil, drained and replaced old fuel, and I got the car to fire up and run for a few minutes. Car has been sitting for over 15 years so it will need all precautions taken before driving the car. I had big plans for the car and I am seeing more and more interest in these 80's oddities these days but fact is I have far too many projects going on right now and this one takes up too much room in my shop. I'm trying to appraise the car before putting it on the market. Overall the car has some very impressive running gear and the sum of it's parts are quite impressive! Pictures, coming soon. She is so difficult to photograph in the corner of my shop! Awkward but strangely beautiful car. Thanks.
