I must say - there is anger in Matt Monson. He jumped at me in the first post...and continues to ride me.

I am a newbie - have no idea who Matt is sans he is related to or owns Guard Transmissions a RennList sponsor and an awesome piece. Must rebuild my trans and remove the one I have in my car! Damn. LOL. Love the tranny.

Seems odd that he would bring such anger to a public forum and possibly (inadvertently) tarnish the reputation of Guard Trans.

Additionally, I dare say he is calling the Kettle Black. I suspect he wants us to believe he has never made an illegal U Turn, exceeded the Speed Limit, gone in the Exit instead of the Entrance, driven without his lights on when his wipers were on, backed out of a driveway onto a street, failed to yield the right of way, beeped when it wasn't an emergency, and the list goes on, but I feel you get the point. Illegal is all lumped together - it doesnt matter what it is and or who you are.

I am oddly amused by the Paul Walker reference. What does it mean?
They hadn't traveled far or long enough to put heat in the tires. 600 hp on cold tires = a slippery ride if putting the throttle to the floor.

The driver was showing off, trying to impress PW and paparazzi at an event. Enough on that said subject.

he's a friend of mine, but that never stopped him from chewing me out periodically.

i am not saint. i do speed too. but 10-15+ over and doing some spirited driving is "tolerable".
going triple digits, passing over double yellow, or even 2mph over near shcool, not so much.

Actually, not only was Roger, Paul's business partner but he was his personal friend. And he was an accomplished racer in his own right. And they owned a number of cars together. He was not some random Paul climbed into the car with and he had no reason to try to impress Paul.

I'm not riding you. In fact I gave you a free pass after post 1 even though your opening story had douchey behaviour all over it. You didn't take the pass. You mentioned me by name and chose to talk about me, even though you didn't speak to me directly. So why are you riding me?

Your comparison of me making an illegal u-turn to you passing two cars across the double yellow at 100+mph isn't even in the same ball park. I won't get a reckless charge for that u-turn. You will get 3 or 4 separate violations. And if you hit someone you might kill them. My 12 mile an hour illegal biatch might break a tail light if someone I didn't see rear ends me. The law is not black and white. Breaking it is, but once you are across the line it gets very grey. A reckless with a fatality is the end of your free life, if you aren't the guy who died.

Your story about fatalities and "driving is dangerous" can and does happen to people at any speed. Speed is not the only factor in an accident. And in a litigious society, anything is possible.

I just called and ordered a chauffer. My cars are now for sale (which goes back to your first post to me...what does this have to do with Value of cars...so this all comes full circle...Car Values in Marketplace discussion. So, what are my cars worth so I can post them for sale?

I will use to proceeds to get on the waiting list for a Tesla with self driving tech. I can't wait for my self driving car. Self Driving cars seems to be what you are hinting at. A quasi socialist idea. Are you voting for Bernie? Self Driving cars will be good for your business - self driving cars all doing the speed limit without any need for LSD. I suspect the need for LSD will fall a bit. You will just have a tiny amount of racers to work with.

Mileage, models and pictures. Pictures are key and you haven't posted any yet. You mention a 70t, a 993tt and a 997.1tt. Maybe $200-250k worth of cars, if they are real and condition 2-3.

As for the rest? I don't make parts for street cars. I make parts for racecars and something tells me that guys reading price discussions on Pelican aren't here looking for the last half a second a lap.
