going to buy a 911 with a 993 vario ram rs specs engine. 3,8 liter mahle pistons everything in highest qualitiy, built by rothsport. 15 miles street use.

Jeff Gamroth got his start with Alex Job. He is the best of the best in 911 air cooled engine building. I wouldn't say it adds value to the car. But it is a nice thing to have in any car that one might buy.

And yes, Mayo is the go to in Dallas.

With vario it's nominal premium over a stock 993 rebuilt (+ $1,200 for cams maybe).

When you hear rothsport premium it's linked to gamroth RSR motors. Those are big, huge, gigantic premiums (but non-vario).

If you're asking for a price on fully documented 15k mile motor, I'd say $16k. If you hear different please let me know, I've got one sitting in a race car I'm looking to ditch.

What Mehoff said. That engine probably cost close to $25k to build but resale in it is $15-18k. It's not one of his $50k race engines.
