I would get back with your agent! it took me 3 months to get the valuation increased on the 79 and 88 w/ SF and had to jump thru hoops especially on the 79. I have agreed on value and all is now good. I think it was OJT from them to do it...

In Georgia we pay a value tax yearly, though they changed it recently to make you pay 7% on purchase only. My 911 was bought 23 years ago, and I paid yearly and then it dropped to 25 bucks a year based on value which being a 78 is like nothing.

Auctions, dealer sales, asking prices, peer-to-peer sales. They claim peer-to-peer (what I would call private) sales are over 70% of the market. They say they get access to those numbers by asking their insureds for sale/purchase prices. They also say "we have access to insured values of hundreds of thousands of vehicles" but don't mention if/how that is included in the valuation process.
