Saw this "1972 Porsche 911 T" for sale.
1972 Porsche 911 Targa T in EXCELLENT Condition However, no oil fill on right rear fender, CIS, Short hood, etc. IMHO, it is more likely an imported 1977 Targa. Thoughts?

I say it is a 1972 because the 4th digit in the VIN is a 2 which makes it a 1972 car. The fact that it does not have the oil fill door on the left fender and the entire car looks like a post 1973 model is because it was converted sometime in the 1980s or 90s to this more modern look that today does not make much sense.
My 1970 911T coupe is one such example. The most expensive part of converting these cars back to original is the interior - the seats + dash + door panels/pockets/Arm rests. $29.975 I think it is too much for this car. Jose

The door plate states:
For month and year as "2 77" For the weight as 2824 LBS Is not the weight of a 72 911 around 2300 LBS?

They've had this car on their lot for several months. There's another thread about it where we discussed it.

That is one confusing car. I don't see a single part on that car that matches a 1972. Everything about it says 911SC 3.0. Yes the VIN says its a 1972 but there's too much contradictory evidence to the point but I would not think so.
