The 912 was born, and didn't live that long for that matter. Why?

I rest my case.
There is a critical component you are leaving out. There was a huge price jump going from the 356 to the 911. While Porsche was targeting doctors, lawyers and other wealthy professionals they soon realized there was a need for an intermediately priced car. It could have very easily been called a 911/4. Far outselling the 911, the 912 provided essential dollars to Porsche that allowed them to more fully develop the 911 and to begin development of the next "entry-level" Porsche, the 914.

pNutz, the space is there for picnic baskets, or a few chords of firewood, butt does that pee-wee engine have enough available torque in order to haul a couple of sandwiches and pudding cups around?!?!

Looks like something that belongs in a doll house, or maybe, just maybe, a go-cart!

Cmpski is working on a Polo in a 914. Now that's an idea that gets me hot. That's like a furhman twin cam in a 904 hot.

Rawknees .... the aerodynamic improvement alone doubles the top speed.

Take care, pNutz - I hear that Phat keeps a .45 in that cooler (next to his bottle of chloroform and baggie full of large zip ties)!
