1980 Porsche 911SC Coupe | Bring a Trailer

This recently sold on BaT for 35k and it was black With 145k

This bamboo car looks better and I think it's worth more than the black one how much more idk some people will really pay for the right color

Wow.

That is a lot of money for a flesh colored car!

45k is the number for a perfect SC and with either lower mileage or a top end rebuild done for sure with service records/history. And that is only if you really like that color. I think that car should go for 37.5-39.9k.

Agree, $45k is definitely rich at collector car level. $35K tops seems more realistic. - unusual color is a plus, but car at 104k is average miles.

- 80% original paint?? That 20% respray shows differently over time especially in low light or fluorescent.
- No AC - Always like full equipment with a higher asking price.
- Redone seats - while good for use, color and quality of work is never as good as the original and tan is a hard color to match to the rear.
- No info on top end rebuild - how extensive are the other records, pop off value or and chain tensioners done? The less documentation the lower the price, typically.
- After market exhaust - some like it - some don't if trying to stay close to original.

SickNick, don't you know by now that flesh and effluvial tones are "desirable" 911 colors?!?!?

No, it's not worth $45.
Asking ain't getting but that's a 'push me away' asking price.

yeah, $45k seemed like he will get no bites. i thought the color was cool, but i didn't feel it was worth more than low 30's.

That being said, I'm sure he would've been offended on what i would've offered on the car.

$32k. We're almost in November, and it's nothing special other than the color - and no one wanted this color 5 years ago.

That color looks like a liquid in a test tube at a medical lab. Or on the ground at the ball park. Think back when you were a kid, you see a Guards red or black or forest green 356 or 911 go by you said "Wow!" I don't think we would have reacted the same way with sandy flesh color. I guess I'm still 13 at heart. Remember Candy apple red on a Corvette????? Or on a Bel Air? So cool.

I don't think the price is that far off. It's a great color. States with original deck lid as well. I own a 82 with approx 88k. Last year at a cars and coffee a former VP of VW offered me 40k for my car. My car is a similar lighter color. Chiffon White. I turned it down. Mainly because I still wanted the car. I did think it was on the high side of fair. I would price my car around 37,500

I feel different colors add to the value. Just my opinion, but I wanted anything but red or black.

Your car has a fair amount less miles and Chiffon White is a pretty sweet color. There is also a big difference between 40 and 45k. 45k for an SC is a lot, maybe for a similar G50 Carrera.
