Thats funny. The original 2cv was used by farmers to drive around town and on the fields. Bee was set up to cope with potholes in Hawaii.

The new owner just told me he cruised 90 mph on the Autostrada today - believe me it is scary with that set up. It is all over the road.

I bet it's scary! With the front that high, and no chin spoiler either, and ****, a lot of air is being directed under the front end, and depending on the front's height relation to the rear, almost no weight is over the front wheels of an already, ridiculously rear-biased vehicle design. Seems like a nutzoid set-up!

It looks like you could set a 12-pack of long neck beer bottles on top of the front tire, and have plenty of fender clearance to grab them with ease.

I saw a couple 993 S models (2 and 4) sell at near 6-figures at the beginning of the year, and now there are $70K examples sitting...

I don't think Europe was that much of a factor in the 993 market. But that's based on a relatively narrow point of view. Most European buyers I've dealt with have moved on to other underappreciated cars and only want to buy 911s at 2009 prices.
