Appropriate to post an engine # on this forum

Evening, I have an early 911 aluminum block engine in a 550 Spyder replica. I am not really looking to sell but if the 911 it came from is still around I could find something to replace it. Would this forum be the appropriate venue to post the serial number?

Thanks, Joe in NH

Folks here could identify the engine type and likely production year. Experts on here - not me!

I could tell you all that but the guy you really want to talk to is Davep over on the early S registry. He can probably give you a narrow range of serial numbers that that engine would have come in. Go ahead and post the number here and I'll give you the basics of your engine and Dave can give you everything else.

That's a 1967 "normale" engine.
