Whats it worth?

Possibly looking at trading my car for another, seller asked me to name a price on my car, and I figured I'd get some input, as I'm a bit biased!

Car is a '74 911S. Motor and trans are 1971 (2.2T, and a type 911 4 speed). I have a 915 waiting to go in, along with a new shifter, axles, etc.

Restoration and widebody was done in 1999, repainted 2008, and I've had some other recent paint work (hood, bumper, decklids, and a new door this year)

Suspension is new, rebel S racing RSR style struts, raised 19mm+bump steer kit, bilstein sports all around, aluminum S calipers, new brake lines.

redid the whole fuel system front to back and refurbed the tank last year, PMO fuel rails and FPR, new carter pump.

Interior is fairly modified, has some newer recaro leather sport seats, lots of Rennline accessories, RS door cards, etc. Far from stock.

Redid all the lights in the car with LED lighting from carmagic, replaced the turn signal housings and lenses, fixed lots of wiring issues, trouble free now.

The bad: Rockers probably need work, as well as some rust on the rear seat bottoms, rest of the car seems solid.

A couple weeks ago I drove it almost 7000km round trip from Saskatoon to LA and back for Luftgekuhlt, it's a reliable car!

Any input is appreciated.

Lots of variables here. Hard to put a value on it, but opinions are free and worth what ya pay for 'em.

I'd say ought to be worth somewhere in mid 20s. like 24-26k

Limited group of buyers for non original cars these days. Having said that, I like it!

Hope that helps. Many more knowledgeable should chime in.

Thanks for the reply! It is indeed not any bit original, but I'm possibly looking at trading it on a different very modified car (964 with a 993 GT2 body, 3.8L NA)

That sounds like rust issues which should be taken care of.
absolutely. Last winter I fixed rust in the smugglers box and a couple areas of the floor pan, and got a replacement door due to a rusted door stay. If I keep the car, I'll do the rockers this winter.

Also, LOL @ the sheeper! 100%! I've been collecting bits for a new motor, was planning on a turbo 3.2 build (maybe do a 3.4), have a haltech standalone and an oem 930 exhaust/turbo/intercooler, carrera intake manifold, lots of other bits, ongoing project.

I would expect more like $30k even with the 2.2 in it. 74 gets a little bump over the late middies like 76-77 because it doesn't have the smog considerations of the later cars.

I'm interested in the ducktail if you decide to sell it separately.
Car looks great!

that does seem to be a factor, as the potential buyer is in California. Here in Sask. there are no smog requirements, but it certainly is a factor elsewhere.
