Fuch Strategy

I'm interested in selling the Fuchs currently on my car. 7 and 8x16. (I'm getting another set of Fuchs refinished and installed next week)

As you can see, they are mixed-matched and are in so-so shape. Fronts are stock finish and the rears have been polished with polished lips.

Moving forward, I have three options:

1) Sell as is. Probably in pairs. How much do you they'd fetch?

2) Get them refinished and sell'em. Refinishing would likely cost me approximately $800. How much do you think freshly re-finished wheels by Al Reed will go?

3) Keep 'em! Because who knows when I'll need a spare wheel or two?

I'd check the sizes again; those look like 6 & 7's.

But assuming correct, you'll want to sell seperately to maximize value:

7's: $500 or so
8's: $1000-1200 depending on condition (assuming 951)

Don't know if it influences your decision but Al Read has been hard to find recently.

His shop is still around. His shop is currently refinishing the wheels that are intended to go on my car next week. It definitely took some persistence, but I figured it may be a good idea to get another set done too for the marketplace.

I'm saying lead times may be long. People have been going to the shop to pick up their wheels and finding it closed.

True; lead time is supposedly epic.

Weidman does the same quality with much better customer service (based on forum. no direct experience myself).

Oh, I see. I suppose it's luck of the draw. I dropped off my wheels last Friday and they are supposedly going to be ready by next Thursday (just shy of two weeks).

Got to give credit where credit is due. The wheels on the car as pictured are indeed 6s and 7s. Seller must have been mistaken and I have yet to take the wheels off personally.

Just got my 7 and 8s from Al Reed so these are going on sale as-is once I can get them cleaned up.

Thanks for the help, guys

FWIW I have bought a few 16 by 6's for $175 to $250 depending on condition over the last 2 years.
