I'd love to see confirmation of all these silent $200k $100k 930 sales. This "truly collectible porsche" has been for sale since January

Message board trolls have nothing constructive to say, you find a POS for sale and think all 930's should sell for lowball figures. Go buy a corvette

Look at you puffing your chest out and barging in with foolish comments because you don't like what you read.
I drive my 911's because that's what they were built for and what i purchased them for. They have never ever represented a retirement strategy.

i'm sure a big ungainly boat like a Corvette is far more suited to you than me, especially as the seat bases are quite a bit wider. YMMV

$75,000 to $100,000 930 with a clean title restored.

The branded title hurts.

A clean 930 tub $20,000
That engine as sits $10,000
The transmission $7000
The brakes $4000
The suspension $2500

Just looking for confirmation, that’s all. I didn’t think that’s what Pelican was all about, but good to know that when you don’t agree with someone’s opinion you take it to that level.

I don’t consider buying any 930’s anywhere even close to that price point. My 930’s are so rare that they’ve all been featured in magazines...And one of them is so rare that Porsche Exclusiv North America has asked me if they could display it at their headquarters in Atlanta. Those are the types of 930’s I own and collect. To each their own though...

Sorry I offended you, it sounds like you’re obviously the seller of that POS salvage project at 50k.

You actually initiated the barb slinging when you insinuated that Turbo Owner was an idiot in the following quote.

Which is why quoting Ebay sales as references doesn't work whatever camp you sit in regarding 930 pricing ;)

This is so stupid..

Where do you *****S come from..

Why do you ignore all reality about the market.

All auction data from Bonhams, Gooding, Barrett Jackson, Mecum.. From the last 5 years...

You say these aren’t real results because all the **** with big money don’t have a clue about the market..

All the price guides are off too.. Yeah they are all BS.. Hagerty, NADA, Black Book, Excellence yeah they are as lost as the imbeciles with money paying $100,000 , 200,000 or even $300,000 for these 930s.

But guys like you over on “pelican”.. yeah you know the real market...

Ok mister REAL MARKET... take your imaginary $50,000 and just see what type of imaginary 930 you end up with.

OP has a very nice 930.

One thing out of all of this mess of thread.

Selling that 930 for 1 cent less than $75,000

Is a mistake.

^ Seems like a nice original condition #2 turbo. That is a good example of what $115k will buy you. Fully documented, unrestored/original cars are still strong since they are rare.

SkunkWorks 11-01-2017 08:46 AM

Think what you like WHITE TRASH basement dweller

Skillet83 11-01-2017 03:47 PM

Looks like a little of PARF moved in here. Just kidding. Did not mean to stir the fires, just looking for opinions. I purchased car for 50k, have documented additional costs of 20k-25k. In shop currently performing leak down along with maintenance, estimated cost 5k. Will do a little more research. Was wanting opinions on where to advertise.

Do not think I have a 100k car, was thinking in the mid to high 80's. Will let you guys know how this goes.

Hey Bubba I'm not sure how you can discern my ethnicity from the internet, nor my position in my building ? Please enlighten us, I'm hoping it's got to be more interesting than this revolving delusional insistence that the 930's are still in 'peak Porsche' pricing, while the majority of the porsche market is as flat as a crepe ...

I still think BAT is the way to go, provided you have a good response strategy. The recent sale of a N/A red coupe was an interesting example. The owner didn't engage and the car sat flat at around $25k. But in the last couple of days the owner steadily started to respond to the pertinent questions, and engaged the peanut gallery. Bids increased and the price climbed accordingly.
Its hard to battle some of the negativity that can arise, and just like any thread here if you don't take action to quash some of the nonsense comments it can have an a negative effect. Not easy bcs a BAT thread requires patience and diligence but I could see their crowd responding to the car as it sits even without the OEM fuchs.

Question for the 930 experts.

Did a MY 87 - 89 930S come with wheel locks from the factory?

Were they an option that would be listed in COA or where they on every car?

Thanks, Speedster

Skillet83 01-19-2018 12:44 PM

Update. Car sold in 30 days for asking price (85K). I think pretty quick considering Christmas Holiday. I met some very nice people both domestic and international. Had 3 people in particular that were pretty serious. Car went to someone that saw car on Pelican. Thank you Pelican Parts. Car is going to a car guy, very easy transaction, great experience working with him.
