Does anyone know this seller! Too good to be true??

This seems to be a deal. Has anyone had contact with this seller?

It sure is eaten through with rust (even the windshield pillars look like they would snap if you flicked them).

That car has been on Craigslist here for over a year. It must be a total POS to still be available.

From what I've read on the other thread, there's only one place to take on a resto like this....

wonder why the seller has not posted any underside pic's of the car. Based upon the rust creeping through above the bumper lines, the underside should be a bigger concern. There are also no engine bay pics.

Hello,

I'm the owner and seller of the 912 ossi blue. I was not aware of this thread until today, so I feel should set some things clear:

1. The reason you have seen the car posted few times for a year, is because the last two times I had it post, I had deaths in the family, being the oldest son, I was in charge of everything that needed to be done. Although the car stayed posted, I never replied to any requests. Unfortunately death didn't knock on our doors just once, and I had to take care of 4 funerals within this time span.

2. The car is a solid project, and I can understand how it is easier to judge about it behind the monitor rather than seeing the car in person, however that is the world we are living in today

3. I'm not a flipper, but an enthusiast and a collector. I do not share photos or my cars on pelican or rennsport, but you are more than welcome to look at my collection on Instagram: @PorscheCollector

4. I represent the car honestly and never hid away from any questions about the car.
It is a bargain, and because of few nuisances stated above I guess some of potential buyers decisions have been made on assumptions rather than facts.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

The seller has a sales strategy here, he spells it out in the first line. He doesn't want to sell to a flipper, which translates to, there is no money left to be made on this car and I'm not wholesaling it. I can appreciate that. My cars are usually priced the same, no leftover money, or "meat on the bone" as the flippers always say to me.
Whether or not it's worth his asking price, that's up for debate. If it hasn't sold already then it's probably over-priced, but if he's not in a hurry then let it run. To answer the original question, is this car a deal? No, but it might be a good project for someone and could end up being a really cool car, so paying all the money now isn't the end of the world. Everyone is obsessed with getting the deal of the century when they are buying a car, I gladly pay full retail when I'm buying a car for myself if I think it's a good car. You never pay too much, you just bought it too early, hold any Porsche for 5 years and you'll be ahead of the game.
