that pump is awesome adam! I bet they sold a few of those to the dutch....

when a Porsche racecar is badged "VW" for le mans then we know we have a problem. I don't recall the specifics, but didn't a bently or some leg of audi win a le mans race in like 07-08 with audi's painted bently green? likely was not a bently, but we are ranting here? right?

Tobs, that is the type of information that you and Adam should keep between yourselves!

On topic - both of the machines that are the subject of this thread are super dorky (the Lambo version, too), butt if dorks and dorketts want to buy them, then why not supply the demand?!

I feel your pain, but it just may be too late. The days of the stand-alone sports car marques for less than $1m are over. (no matter how cool the 944 was!) Google the following:

Ferrari SUV
Maserati SUV
Bugatti SUV

Please do a little research. Porsche has been making SUVs way before they were acquired by VW. These 2 articles should give you some explanations on whats going on.

Since when has anything he posts been based on fact. Every 930 value post he makes is based on his personal emotion around the car.

so, I'm takin my jeep out for the 1st time this weekend with a few friends that are too relatively new to "wheelin". we are going to be guided by a few locals and in viewing some of the videos of the local trails it's waaay over my current skill set. how should I handle this?

are jeep guy going to be as respectful as track instructors might be with newbies if you tell them what's up? ive raced cars, dirtbikes and grocery carts over the years and am no puss, but I wanna dip my foot in w/o simple fire road dust... be challenged, but not over challenged

on topic here because I'm learning old time jeep guys hate that Chrysler produced jeeps that have flooded the market. VW, Chrysler, audi or kia.... choose what suit you best I say

^^^

Just tell the group that if they do not keep a reasonable, Jeep-newbie pace, you will be forced to operate the machine wearing nothing but a diaper!

Tony,

Just tell them. They will have winches and jacks and implements to right or release you if you get in a bind.

Not to be confused with wenches like Raw and D.

As I've said before, any Cayenne or Macan or Boxster is fine in my book. They saved the company.

I probably despise the 996 more than I despise a Cayenne.

Make a 944? Now it's called the Cayman (in pricing and its place in the model line) and to me it kicks butt.

Like Adam said above, there's myriad things that Porsche did. Not to mention Porsche Design - and they have done everything.

There you go...

I've heard that the primary implement of Toby's "release" is this tool called a Matt!

The Turbo S Cayenne is a beast - 520hp AWD 4x4 for Canadian winters = WINNING !!
*Except I can’t find skinny knobby winter tires for my wide 20” rims. Them fat smooth tires push too much snow.

WTH.

Are your screws loose? You must be driving a first gen GTe 991 who’s engines been replaced once or twice.

How much longer before cayenne’s macan’s denigrate the porsche mystique beyond repair

No more 4 door porsche’s.

If it has 4 doors it’s not a porsche.

It also cannot compete in or be classified as a SUV.

What is a porsche?

A It is only ever a two door car.

B The engine is ALWAYS located behind the driver.

Porsche are not SUVs..

Volkswagen selling porsche is the only way out.

Unfortunately they won’t do this until they have totally drained every last bit of prestige, honor, mystique out of the name..

Damned volkswagen.

If only porsche HAD succeed in taking volkswagen over instead of the disaster of a bastardized volkswagen controlled company we have today..
