My 75 Carrera, by all indications had body colored mirrors from the factory, it also came with 7/8 x 15 Fuchs. It is also noted in the 911 Red Book on page 44 that in 75, Carrera mirrors were body colored. SmileWavy

The 74 is also a targa while the 75 is a coupe. It balances out for the most part. Not exact but a good point of reference

Hagerty disagrees, placing a 74 targa a good 20% higher than a 75 coupe.

Well the market that I have watched pretty intently for almost two years disagrees with Hagerty lol

Well there’s one way to test this. Let’s have the op price his 75 like a 74 and we can all watch it sit unsold...

More Really good photos coming soon including undercarriage.

It's ok to be wrong. Matt's correct. 20% is light. Real number is probably closer to 30%.

And I've watched it a lot more than "pretty intently" over the last 2 years. Intently enought to have bought 3 Carreras, actually.

Neither one of you guys said a number. I can do math in percentages but let’s hear what you guys think this car is worth. I have also bought in the last 2 years, 12 x 911’s to be exact. 8 of them middie Carreras.

Wheels sizes are correct for a '75. Porsche used this same setup on the Weissach cars in '80 as well. FWIW, you could get 15's on an '87 Carrera as a friend did when he bought his "wunderkind" 1st year G50 car. ;)

The '74 is a more desirable car without the 49 State split on emissions equipment that came in '75.

By '75 all had the 2-1 exhaust/heat exchangers and EG air pumps but CA got Thermal Reactors as well. Those were the main reasons that studs pulled. These cars ran hot as the hinges of hell.

Pretty car. GLWS

Awaiting additional photos.SmileWavy

I’m waiting on the additional pictures. Could be a $35k car, could be $55k

I'd pay $50k for the car baed on what I see. I'd need more infornmation to pay more. Cool color but pretty common for the 75's. 2 or 3 in that color combo were on offer just last year.

It's pretty, until you open the door...

vin number

Still waiting for the VIN.I asked early on about the periscope headlight washers and got no answer. They only came on early Turbos and Carrera 3.0.What if this car is an early 75 3.0 Carrera? You would have to fight off Nathambs because he is buying them all up.Car would be worth a minimum of 6 figures. What is a 75 Turbo these days?At least $750,000 & up.Where is the Vin?Ciao Fred

You guys got me thinking. It’s interesting as the mfi cars seem to be exempt from this 74-75 price differential. The orange 75 that you pictures I think is for sale for approx $350k could be wrong

Ha! Periscope is certainly odd but not likely a numbers matching car without realizing it’s a 3.0

Can’t add to the pricing discussion, but I do love Light Yellow.

Thanks Matt, but ‘76 is about as “new” as I can handle.

turbotoo 04-18-2018 08:43 AM

Don't want to put the VIN in the public forum. Sorry.
