Were you referring to the BaT car? Or the car in question in this thread? The BaT car ended up going for $115k + buyer premium.

Pretty sure it was built by Kundensport. Its been bouncing around the markets for several years. When first listed, the asking price was well north of $100k. That was a couple / few years ago, the market was hotter. I had seen it listed as low as mid $80's at one point. Couple years ago, on a whim I offered the seller at that time, $65k for the car and got an insulting reply. (different seller than the current seller)... That's fine, I made a low offer because I didn't have a whole lot of info and it had been on the market for at least a year at the time.

IMO, it looks okay as a driver. Its not really much of a clone. The wide body is not really rsr, and for the most part its just a bunch of parts rather than a well executed build, whose sum, sort of looks like an RSR. Just my opinion but a clone or tribute should be closer to the original. I would call it a widebody backdate, that was done on a budget to someone else's taste.

Also my 2 cents but $75k feels a little pricey to me. $75k is sort of no mans land for a hot rodded back date. You can build one probably more to your liking for less or you can spend more and get a really well executed one someone else built.

The Green and white car. As others have said, its not bad, just a very loose representation of an RSR. Like trader 220 pointed out, its really just a widebody backdate.

You either delete the radio or install a period Blaupunkt.

Yep build by Kundensport. Actually called and talked to the owner for a bit. Just said it was a nice, high quality build and the car was pretty fast. He didn't build the engine, just the exterior and interior. Not sure who built the engine. Said they dyno'd it and was somewhere around 280-290hp.

I believe it sold last year to the current seller for in the $80s. I think the current seller is in the $90s.

Good advice on the pricing. I bet if this car was on BaT it would go for $100+ though.

Thank you sir! As I mentioned, there are a few differences, Lindsay 17" Fuchs vs. the 15" non polished and a few other minor details but I guess that's what differentiates a Tribute and a clone. I guess the turbo 3.2 isnt quite period correct either but its sure lots of fun. You cant be a poser in an RSR look! I'm sure any Porsche fanatic will immediately recolonize the rear plate and realize that its a backdate.

The green and white car has no hood emblem. Maybe it's not a real Porsche.

Maybe it’s built on a 914. They have no emblem either.

You may not have noticed, but Rod's RSR has a little extra Go with that Show!

Only one exhaust pipe ?

Try this.
It's "cheap" too.

I think he was talking about the thing connected to that underdash boost gauge.

Thanks for the compliments guys! The muffler is a RarlyL8 Outlaw so shout out to Brian for making a fantastic piece. It bolts directly to the turbo and its a little tight but fits. Im not a big fan of extra gauges and really struggled with finding a suitable location so figured Id mount them low and not so "in your face". Unfortunately the reality is that with a turbo motor a wide band air/fuel and boost gauge are mandatory. There's actually another component as well which is the Split Second controller that handles air/fuel ratio designed to go in the dash, but i managed to hide that one under the seat.

I think it looks good, but I could never do it. 6'3" with a 34" inseam. I hit my knees on the steering wheel as it is. I would end up putting them in the radio location I think.
