How much would you pay for this restored 911 RSR tribute?

https://cars.abreumotors.com/vehicle-details/1986-porsche-911-carrera--rsr-tribute-coupe-41f3c4edba6c45c6bb9a45b5a5e5346d?Framed=1

Lot of work done to it. Engine completely rebuilt to pretty much 3.6 specs (no?). Interior completely redone. Exterior painted, flares, backdated.

Just a complete package. Just curious what it might be worth in today's market.

Looks nice. Is it for sale at the link or is that an old ad? How much are they asking?

Yep, it's for sale. I didn't want to poison the pot by giving the price. Wanted people to weigh in first.

Well, the receipts show the car can be replicated to a buyers exact desire for less than $75k, so there's your high water mark.

Unless he puts it on BaT....someone dolt will prob pay $200k for it.

Says over $50k in restoration receipts. That would mean a stock ‘86 Carrera for $25k to start with? Seems a little light perhaps.

Yeah seems like a good BaT car to really drive up the price.

Doesn't need to be an '86, just any roached-out 911 with a mezger case*. That can be sourced for WELL south of $25k, hence the $75k max note. Hell, I'll bet there's beat up G50's with engine issues that can be had for less than $25k.

*engine subject to builders tastes. Doesn't need to be a 3.2 oddly punched out (I only say oddly because I've never seen it before and don't understand it; it could be an epic build). 2.7RS or a 3.2ss are just, if not more desirable options.

I agree, the headlights look horrible, and so does the chunked out rear bumper where it is contacting the muffler. I can’t believe they would leave something like this. Stands out like a sore thumb.

It has been on the market for at minimum a year if not close to two years now. There has to be more to the story than a high asking price.

It actually sold late last year to the current seller, who is a dealer. Now he’s selling it. I’m contacting the builder to try and get some more info. Seems like a solid build, but who knows. Lots of interior customization. Haven’t seen many 3.2’s ported to a 3.6. Has good hp numbers per dyno.

It lacks tons of detail. No chrome trim, wrong wheels, sugar scoops, sunroof, the interior is fair at best, the front flares appear to be 930 not the correct RSR profile. Just my .02

I’m the same place. This car is too personalized and too rough around some edges for me to care. I wouldn’t pay $75k for it.

What is the ask on it?

Interesting comments. I thought it was a pretty high class build but I dont know all the details on what a RSR should be. I thought it just looked badass. Ask was $95k. Seller/builder last year had it listed for $90k.

There’s an arse for every seat. Things I think are tacky you might like. No right or wrong to tastes. Just takes one buyer to sell a car.

I'm not a fan of that build, but it's probably worth $75k.

I prefer a longhood Hotrod over a backdate.
