That’s a ‘77 year correct wing and I think it’s a refreshing change as it’s very uncommon.

That’s a cheese arse fiberglass wing. It’s correct for the dumpster.

The black one? Thought that was the early 75 rubber monstrosity. Heavy, but authentic. I would rock one for fun.

Why cares? Some like targa some like coupe. Some like longnose some like G body. Some like chrome trim some like black. Someone asks for opinions on a car they don’t own they will get all opinions. It’s not ever personal against someone.

Some like turbo powaaa, and some like Fred Flintstone motoring.

The blue 911 isn't listed for sale anywhere, the seller was looking out for me.

It's on the fence of being sold to one of his customers so he is letting me know if not.

The blue 912 is being inspected Thursday by a guy in Europe that will buy it without the seats or door panels for around $18k. If the buyer low balls the seller he will let me know if its up for grabs still or not. The car has alot of new parts on it but yea it's a 912...

Even tho Hagerty values the 912 considerably more compared to the 911

Head's spinnin

kc911s 05-21-2018 06:54 AM

You still trust that a seller will look out for you? What happened with your bike riding/can't start it till it warms up seller? If you want something you have to go after it.

Yeaa you right.. The 911 is the one I want but I'm playing the waiting game with that one anyway since his customer has dibs..

There are still those rare owners that will look out.

I'm not pressed to grab one but will continue posting those that I'm on the fence about.

The one that will be a no brainier I'll snag and post.

Matt Monson 05-21-2018 07:32 AM

912Es do have some good value, if they are original and numbers matching. But if you want a car that you are going to personalize and hot rod, then buying a solid one and doing your own thing doesn't make much $en$e.

Going to refrain from 912's for now unless like I said before, I'd just resell for money going towards a nice 911

Racerbvd 05-21-2018 12:25 PM

912E can be a fun car, mothball the stock motor & install a Jake Raby built Type IV.

After you wait a year and pay him $15-20k. There are far more cost effective and efficient ways to get to the same end.

kc911s 05-22-2018 05:11 AM

Is that body correct or does it look wider than stock?

I'm also scheduled to see a 87 Carrera on my birthday next month.

Getting exited.

kc911s 05-22-2018 10:54 AM

It's an sc body.

Matt Monson 05-22-2018 11:40 AM

Not wide.

Ok cool. Just spoke with them and they are showing to few people this week.

Phone is blowing up per usual.

Waiting to see the 87 in June and will be buying that before jumping on any others.

The car isn't listed anywhere and seller does not want any deposit, will be meeting with him when I'm in his area next month.

kc911s 05-22-2018 12:12 PM

Fast forward to June----------

Itzame "I called the owner of the 87 and can you believe it- he sold the car a couple weeks ago!"

Matt Monson 05-22-2018 12:30 PM

Stupid or troll?

ItzaMe 05-23-2018 04:15 AM

I'm going to be in his state and area in June so why waste a trip if it's someone trying to scam me or waste my time.

Its an 87 with 132k for less than 30k. Think that's a decent deal?

Said he doesn't need deposit and will wait for me since he will be out of town end of this whole month.

We'll see ya'll just let the story unfold.

1979-930 05-23-2018 06:04 AM

^^^ We already know the ending to this story...

kc911s 05-23-2018 06:37 AM

I could have played it safe and stayed home. Instead this week I spent 13 hours towing a trailer to see 2 Porsche’s, presented with little info upfront. Maybe I lucked out, but ended up with another number matching long hood coupe in my garage.

kc911s 05-23-2018 08:55 AM
