964 fuel return line

I’m looking to buy a used fuel return line for a 964. I’m specifically looking for the short portion of rubber fuel line and fitting that runs from the hardline to the fuel tank.

Would it be worth swapping to a steel cross member to not have to worry about the aluminum cracking over time? Other than the weight, is the steel cross member inferior to the aluminum?
