Mine does the same thing as the little sheath...

Mine does the same thing as the little sheath thingy is missing. I just place a thin piece of plastic behind the hood and it closes every time. Have to order the part one of these days.....

My understanding is the computer will retard the timing so it won't hurt the engine provided your knock sensors are good but you will lose some performance in the process.

Get a 928S4 for when you are lazy or have to wear a tie. The a/c will freeze your a$% off and it is a great commute car with an auto. I have had several in 5sp., and it just doesn't suit the car IMO...

Great job. Awesome intestinal fortitude as well. I made a paint booth out of my parents garage back in high school to paint my teachers old BMW 2002. It was a ton of work but turned out pretty good....
