used trannys are literally a dime a dozen. Just find a decent used one (200$-250) and run it till it breaks then replace again. :)

SoCal, I am assuming that you are talking about the spot where the linkage connects to the top of the transmission. IIRC where the adjustment is made to the linkage?

no reverse (more drama)

I have posted something similar to this before. I have an 83 944 manual and sometimes it will not engage reverse. I have replaced the detent ball & spring located on the top of the middle section...

its not hard to do yourself, i reccomend taking...

its not hard to do yourself, i reccomend taking out the alternator and getting it from the top. Replace those o rings.

Reverse (tranny) Problems

My car won't go into reverse. If I hold the lever into the reverse position with a ton of force it will go but it sometimes grinds. I have messed with the adjustment on the linkage and can't figure...
