I coated the rubber lip of the whale tail 6 years...
I coated the rubber lip of the whale tail 6 years ago. No issues experienced, no fading, looks perfect. I did that to cover a repair done to the rubber.

Had this on mine when I bought it. Thought I had great oil pressure...actually had very low oil pressure when tested with an external gauge and had to overhaul motor. It was the sender unit.

I know the early 3.0 cars had a thin unused pipe. This was for the the 934's boost gauge...at least that is what I read. My 76 model certainly has it.

My 76 also has a lot of popping on deceleration. I have a later exhaust where the wastegate does not dump into the exhaust. I always thought this was the reason, but seems not to be.
