Try checking your clutch slave cyl

Also unbolt your master cyl and slide it forward to check it for leaks.

If you do pressure test it at that pressure, do it inside a bucket of water to minimize flying objects. Compressed gasses are nothing to play with.

I am not exactly sure of your situation (never done that job), but dot 3 brake fluid does wonders for eating corosion and paint.

Too much will stop the shaft dead.

The last 944 clutch I did, as a last resort, I had to bar the engine over while applying forward pressure...
