Thanks for the replies. I'll wait it out but continue to drive the car of course. Guess any stone chips I get in that area now will be covered up by the stone guards so no worries.

This car was tinted over 20 years ago and held up well until I removed the tinting last spring. Once I hit my mid-50s my night vision was not so good so the tint had to go....

I didn't put a lot of thought into it. I stuck it on the right side of the Targa rear glass. Guess it's over the defrost wires.
