I'll get started this weekend, let you know what I find. From a cursory look, I didn't notice any CV damage, at least not on the outside. But those are probably the factory CV/axle assemblies too. ...

Something serious broke, 86' 944 n/a, ideas?

I have an 86’ 944 n/a that had something go seriously wrong in the driveline today.

It started out simple enough, while driving I noticed an odd noise coming from the back end of the car. It...

How low is too low for oil pressure?

Here's the deal.

My 86' 944 has about 6 months of time on the engine since it was put back together, and no issues since then to speak of.

Within the last 3 weeks, I've noticed that the oil...

Cruise control unit ticking?

2 days ago, I started getting this annoying intermittent ticking noise from under the hood. Seemed to be coming from the right front, but I didn’t know what was doing it. I ruled out something in...

I have no idea what this little plastic neck is for on the front of my engine. It wasn't present on the last 944 I was working with.

Nothing seems to be coming out of it, and the discoloration on...

I put one of the autozone rebuilt jobs into my car after it's rack went bad. It's the cheapest one I've been able to find. Didn't really feel like messing with all those little gaskets and such.

I'd leave it alone too, stock, those plugs are plastic, and will break easily. I drained my radiator that way to replace a faulty thermoswitch, and ended up snapping the head off the plug when I put...
