Which car are you talking about? I'm guessing that putting R134a into an old system will give you hose (non-barrier) and seal probelms. I'd talk to someone who knows.

Try this first. The fans slide down the motor shafts and bind/rub on the fan housings. Tap the fans up the motor shafts as high as they'll go without binding on the upper housing.

Clutch Replacement Learnings
