I had similar symptoms that gradually worsened over time -- the problem vanished when I had the FI trigger points replaced recently.

Bad trigger points for the fuel injectors can cause a number of stuttering/ stalling problems. I had some recurring but intermittent problems that all went away when the trigger points were replaced.

When I replaced my fuel filter, there was enough slack in the fuel lines to remove it from the access hole in the trunk. See if yours can do the same.

It is not unusual for the e-brake contact switch to get corroded or have a broken wire. The switch is located on the forward cross-member of the floorpan that supports the seat recliner pawl....
