No amp. As replied thermal switch on radiator, relay and two fuses -one for each fan. On the early 944's there is a balast resitor to run one fan at a slow speed after the engine is stopped. The thermal switch controls when the fan stops.
On the later 944's there is a balast to run the fans at two speeds; medium and high, while driving and one fan at the low speed after the engine is turned off. What year and what is the actual problem?

Thank you for your reply. I have replaced switch on radiator., new relay, fuses are okay, but the fans will still not start running. The fans run when hot wired. I have just run out of what to check.

Pull the connector on the radiator temp switch. Short pin 3 to pin 2. This is the lower temp. The fans should run medium speed. May need to turn the ignition on. If not then you need to pull the gove box and check out the fan resistors. These might have failed. Think they have short circuit protection on them. Bi-metalic spring switch.
