I just replace the throttle housing on my 1987 325is. The problem was the plate where the 2 cooling connections attach on the housing were leaking. I fixed this problem and now I have another. I believe the problem is with the throttle switch this was removed when I replace the housing. How do I adjust it? Do I have to remove the entire housing? Please anyone comment!

What problems are you having with the idle? fluctuation? I need more info here.
If you send me your email address, i can send you a tech article explaining how to adjust the throttle switch. But before that, I need to know EXACTLY what the idle is doing. It may not be the throttle switch. E30 models are notorious for having idle problems. Most people immediatley suspect the switch, however it can be a bunch of other thigns as well. |
