Visit our site at the following address:
http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/coverking/cover_start.htm You'll be able to walk through and make your own custom car-cover. I've personally used the Mosom cover for my indoor applications, it seems to treat the car just fine. Make sure you look at all the links before placing an order, this will ensure you're ordering the right cover for your car. . . .

Word to the wise, Cover King's covers won't scratch your paint and many have been fooled. Don't expect velvet or cotton-balls on the inside lining but do expect something that will comfortably protect your ride according to the application.
Good Luck and let me know if you have any questions. |

I don't get the car cover thing. Unless you’re storing it over the winter, or park outside under a weeping willow tree every day, isn't it a waste of your time & money? Plus, if I did have to park outside (on a city street or something), & covered my car, I'd be afraid of someone tryin to f**k with it more than normal. I tend to think a car cover is like a billboard for jealous morons to come & vandalize something they will never be able to enjoy themselves.

You know I used to think the same thing until I started monitoring cars that I seen covered. I came to notice that it all boils down to “out of site, out of mind”. If you can’t see it then why bother, also if you have the cable lock option on a car you park in the street criminals are less likely to even hassle with it.
Think about it: “jump into the mindset of a criminal for just a second”. Would you A) Break into a car with only an alarm. Or B) Break into a car with an alarm, a club, and a car cover? Hum the answer seems to be obvious, why mess with all the fuss when there are plenty out in the open. I’ve used a car cover to store my vehicle from the elements of a tree my neighbor has, and depending on your area you may consider this depending on the dust/ wind factor. Anyone who lives in Oklahoma and parks their car in the street should really consider a car cover. Those open winds can be harsh on nice shinny paint.

I guess I see the point on car thieves, but I was more or less just talkin about little rat adolescent vandals. I've seen it a number of times on city streets in Chicago, where a bunch of kids lookin for kicks on a Saturday night will utility knife a cover to death just so they can scrape a screw driver head through the slashes. If I were to jump into a vandal’s mindset, a covered car is dearer to the heart (and likewise will inflict more pain) to the owner, which makes for a groovy little target for these punks. I'm just glad I live out in the suburbs with a nice warm garage!

Well I am only 17 and my parents do not give me garage space, I aslo live out in the country and it is not anywhere near a city street, vandals would have a hard time getting to my car. All I want is to protect it from sap falling off trees on to it, sap is very hard to get off your car and sap will always fall on it if i leave it out overnight

Good reason. I guess if your only 17, & you've got your first bimmer already, ya can't complain about not havin a space in the garage.

If you're looking for the manual for your vehicle I would recommend the Bentley BMW 3 Series Service Manual 1992-1998.
http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/catalog/shopcart/BMWM/POR_BMWM_books4_main.htm By the way I like to speak from experience and I've never experienced anyone or have never known anyone personally that has had their car-cover vandalized. Hell that a misdemeanor at minimal that includes criminal and civil liabilities. At the least they may get let off on malicious mischief and their parents if under 18 would be required to reimburse the cost of repairs and damage under civil prosecution. (CA Law) Now I've always found that an informed kid is a responsible kid, if they know the penalty they are less likely to commit the crime.

Expect to have $$$ when it comes to that front bumper cover, and one more thing, don't forget to change out that rear valence if you're going for that M3 look. . . Most people forget this piece of the puzzle.
