BMW Roundel Odb2 conversion

I was wondering if sombody can tell me what it will take to put an odb2 engine in my odb1 e30. Is there a harness I can buy or a reprogrammed box I can buy. I cant seem to find any answers.

there were neither obd 1 or 2 engines in E30's.

Dont understand why you would want to do this..

odb2

You are right. Odb1 was 92 or 93? I misspoke. But I got a 97m3 engine and trans complete and I like the idea of the new power plant in the older chassis becuase of the light car. I have heard that as long as you put the engine and trans in together as one piece the biggest problem is the odb2 computer. So I was looking for solutions or just knowledge.

Uh..

theres a lot more to it then that..

You need to address the following

cooling system, as the dimensions are different.
Motor Mounts
Transmission mounts
shift linkage
Exhaust

Theres a lot involved in doing this. I unfortunatley dont have all the answers either.

Look online for something called project ORCA. This will point you in the right direction to do this..
