can some one tell me what mileage i should change my 02

Your asking the wrong people. Your car will let you know, assuming you have a OBD I or OBD II model E36. If the O2 sensor goes bad your check engine light will come on and all you have to do is read the codes to know for sure. Otherwise, each inspection, both type I and II require a reading of vehicle faults. So if you have a fault at that time it should be corrected.
