Slow throttle response/Stalling at stop

Hello everyone,

I have been trying to find the source of my 328is' stalling, or near stalling problem, but to no avail. I have replaced all of the vacuum lines I could find, as well as the Idle Control Valve (ICV). Nothing. It did not help. BUT! If I put the car in neutral before getting to a stop sign or light (Auto-trans), I do not experience the problem at all. Could this be related to the transmission? Also, I too suffer from the slow throttle response condition when taking my foot off the gas peddle. WHAT IS WRONG WITH MY CAR??? PLEEEAAASE HELP!!!! I am at my whits end.

Thanks in advanve-

BMW FREQ

Sounds like it might be tranny related. Have you checked the ATF level? I would change the ATF and filter. It's cheap and worth a shot.

Nope, that's not it.

Tranny is a sealed unit. Therefore, there is no filter. I just recently changed the fluid the Redline tranny fluid, and it is up to propper operating level.

Might there be a tranny sensor or solenoid that may be acting up? It's almost like the clutch is not disenagaging quick enough when I come to a quick stop. If I approach a stop slow enough, I do not experience the problem.

??????????????
Any one?

There is a filter. It is internal and replaceable.

Which Redline tranny fluid did you use? Are you sure you set the level correctly? The level should be set with engine running while moving the tranny through the gears but before the tranny gets hot. It takes two people.

I always forget to reference the Pelican Tech Articles. Someday I'll learn or remember or whatever... LOL

BTW I'm not saying for sure that the fluid level, fluid type or dirty fluid is the problem but since you have recently replaced the fluid then fluid type and level is a good place to start.

Angry E36 stalling problem. HELP!

Redline D4 ATF. The fluid level is at the correct level.

Since my initial post, I have changed all of the vacuum lines and throttle body boot. Still experiencing the problem. Any one else have any ideas what might be causing my delema? Did this happen to you? I am sure of two things. It's either a vaccum issue, or a tranny issue. Just can't seem to find the source of the problem.
