E36 - Spark Plug Replacement
Just got done reading the excellent Pelican Tech Article on replacing spark plugs on an E36. My question is this - Does the battery need to be disconnected prior to replacing the plugs? The Bentley manual says to disconnect the battery prior to replacing the plugs. I've never done this before, however, I've never owned a car with spark plug coils and wasn't sure if this was the reason for disconnecting the battery.

I don't disconnect my battery for plugs but it wouldn't hurt, unless you dont have your radio code.
