Hi all, my 1994 325is recently overheated and it was because this part had broken off. I'm not a mechanic so I don't know what it is called but I will try to describe it as best I can.
When I open the hood, it is on the driver's side, almost underneath where the bolt of the middle windshield wiper is located. I had to unscrew the cover just underneath the windshield wiper, about a foot and a half long, to get to this part that needs replacing. It is a black 3 prong, threaded plastic piece about 2-3 inches long that 3 hoses connect to. I'm assuming that one of them is somehow connected to the coolant, because lime green fluid was leaking from the prong that broke. I can install the part, but have had no luck trying to locate the part , since there are to many parts to go through in the catalog. Any help from anyone would be much appreciated. |
