Smile Ignition error codes!!

failed emissions this morning and was completely horrified at the cost of replacing related items. my errors were:

P0300 random/multiple misfire
P030(1-4) corr. cylinder misfire
P1585 Don't know?

anyway, read post related to this and found that my crankcase breather hose was cracked. A foot of duct tape & battery reset later, and my car is idling perfectly, and the CEL is out!!

If you have these errors, check these breather components!

Does anyone know what the P1585 error is?

it's a 96 318ti. The codes were a result of a failed emissions test this morning, from the print out. The car suffered from a rough idle, but seemed to run fine once off the line. I suspected a vacuum problem, b/c of the problem only occurring at idle, but was just assuming the worst.

I'll have to replace the hose soon, but hopefully it will pass emissions tomorrow morning. I'll post results.

Anyone know what P1585 is? Anyone

Are you sure it wasn't just P0158 O2 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank no. 2 Sensor no. 2)

the print out says P1585. I'm wondering what this error is and if it has been corrected by my temperary fix. I'm going to run the engine out today at lunch on the way to have it tested. Get it nice & hot, try to blow it all out some. Then I'll have it tested & I'll let you know how it does.
