How many O2 sensors are on my E36?

I know for sure this is a stupid/ignorant/dumb/pathetic question but I'm too lazy to search online, read my manual, or check my engine compartment. How many O2 sensors are on my 92 325is? My E30 325is had 2 on it so it made me skeptical. I want to buy one off ebay but want to confirm that before doing so.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AL%3ARTQ%3AUS%3A1&viewitem=&item=270036210252

Thanks in advance,

AT

Just RTFM or go look.

My e30 325 has one, the 328 has four, not sure about the 325's, either 2 or 4.

I'm pretty sure it only has one. My '93 318i has only one.

I'd guess 1 or 2. Check realoem.com

I believe that OBD I E36's (92-95?) only have one O2 sensor, located near the catalytic converter under the center of the car. That's all there is on my '93 325i.

on realoem looks like 4 o2 sensors for 328 E36 - a mechanic I talked to said after 100k miles these are on "borrowed" time - 4 of these is a bit of a hit in the wallet

Luckily there is no reason that all 4 should fail at the same time. Also you can buy generic and wire them yourself to save about half.

Jeron,
Good info.... any links to the generic O2's. What you say makes sense.. Not all may go bad at the same time. I'm guessing these O2's are the type that have heaters/etc. I don't know alot about O2's are these the type that swing back and forth from -1 to +1 volt?

hcoles, what make you think yours are bad.

You should get a CEL when one fails. Get generics at any auto parts store.
