Unhappy Possible DME Issue?

1993 BMW 325iS
Build Date: 07/93

Ok so before i get flamed i did check the tech articles and such but this is new to me. I was driving today and my girl just wasnt acting right.....nothing majorly strange though. I get home and decide its time for the pedal test. The only thing I got from the car was almost an SOS message for lack of better terminology, one short flash followed by one long flash over and over. just like _ ___ _ ___ _ ___
Well I havent run into anything like this so does anyone have any ideas?? Thanks in advance for any insight into this issue, I really appreciate the assistance.

The Tech Info Center has a page on pulling engine codes.
